Using short sequences of 3D computer
animation, DentalWare Patient Education (DPE) conveys a wide
range of dental treatments and procedures in terms that are easy to
understand by the patient. Each sequence, designed by
dentists, has been arranged to show the advantages and/or
disadvantages of each treatment.
The animation sequences can be paused to allow a full
discussion of the procedure where appropriate. The use
of this technology reduces the amount of time the dentist, hygienist
or DSA needs to spend explaining treatment, significantly
improves the acceptance of treatments by the patient and at
the same time helps to raise the image of the practive.
